Professional Experience
Momentum (2012 – Present)
Senior Copywriter
Oh, hello there. Thanks for actually reading my resume, and not just scanning it while thinking about what to order for lunch.
Still with me? Here we go...
Copywriting at Momentum has me in touch with my luxurious side, developing the latest American Express sponsorship at Fashion Week with Instagram and re-writing their entire Premium Access program. It's a glamorous job, and somebody's got to do it. Lucky me.
TracyLocke (2004 – 2012)
Senior Copywriter, Conceptor
It was love at first brainstorm for marketing and me. Working with the Concept Department on programs for PepsiCo, I learned to recognize a great idea, then write it up and sell it. From shopper marketing programs for Hershey’s, to national sweepstakes for MasterCard, I found a big idea for every budget.
As a Senior Copywriter, I leveraged my expertise in all things girly to work on promotions like TemptationIsBeautiful.com for John Frieda and Bioré. Lately, I’ve developed advertising campaigns for Wisk and 7-Eleven and directed the video content for Frappuccino.com from the tents of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, where I felt oddly at home.
Manning Selvage & Lee (2005)
As the Entertainment Intern at this public relations agency, I was charged with keeping tabs on potential celebrities to partner with using reputable sites like The Superficial and PerezHilton.com.
Mode Magazine (2004)
Before it was the fake magazine on Ugly Betty, Mode magazine was a real magazine for plus-size women. The clothes might have been plus-sized, but the fashion closet was not, and as an intern I was charged with keeping a glorified cubbyhole organized and running smoothly.
Educational Experience
Fashion Institute of Technology
For the past 3 years, I have partnered with a professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology to guest speak and develop a semester-long project for students.
James Madison University, Class of 2006
BBA in Marketing, Business-to-Consumer concentration
Vox: Voices for Planned Parenthood
I helped bring Vox to JMU after we lobbied (successfully) to have subsidized contraceptives available on campus again. I also crafted our slogan “Protect Your Box, Join Vox.” Who doesn’t love a call-to-action?
